1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup whipped topping (or heavy cream whipped to stiff peaks)
For the Banana Pudding Layer:
1 package (3.4 oz) instant banana pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
2-3 ripe bananas, sliced
For the Strawberry Layer:
1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 tablespoons strawberry jam (optional, for extra sweetness)
For Assembly:
1 cup vanilla wafer cookies, crushed or whole for layering
Fresh strawberries and banana slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
Prepare the Banana Pudding: In another bowl, whisk together the instant banana pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Set aside.
Prepare the Strawberries: In a separate bowl, combine sliced strawberries and strawberry jam (if using) to add extra sweetness. Stir to coat the strawberries evenly.
Assemble the Dessert: In a trifle dish or individual dessert cups, layer as follows:
Start with a layer of crushed vanilla wafers at the bottom.
Add a layer of banana pudding, followed by a layer of sliced bananas.
Spread a layer of the cheesecake mixture on top, followed by a layer of strawberries.
Repeat the layers as desired, finishing with a cheesecake or strawberry layer on top.
Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend. Garnish with fresh strawberries, banana slices, and additional vanilla wafer crumbs if desired.
Serve and Enjoy: This Strawberry Cheesecake Banana Pudding is creamy, fruity, and perfect for a sweet, refreshing treat!
