My favorite way to eat chicken is if it is crispy… and this crispy oven baked chicken was PERFECT. I am so impressed with how this turned out. Chick-fil-a who? No need to go to chick-fil-a when you can make this healthy chicken from home. This chicken was the first component to one of my favorite combinations… chicken biscuits (biscuit recipe in my next blog post). I ate my first completely homemade from scratch chicken biscuit this morning and it was life changing.
And this chicken was super easy to make! I get so impatient for my food to cook but this chicken cooked so fast so I didn’t have to wait around long! You seriously need to consider making this chicken AND the biscuits because the combination was UNREAL.

ingredients in crispy oven baked chicken
- 2 large or 3 small chicken breasts
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp thyme

how to make crispy oven baked chicken
preheat the oven to 400 degrees
cut the chicken breasts into strips
whisk together the eggs. in a separate bowl, mix together the almond flour, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and thyme
dip the chicken in the egg and coat with the bread crumb mixture. lay onto a greased pan
bake for 10-15 minutes or until the chickens internal temp is at least 165 degrees

substitutions
almond flour- replace with any flour
bread crumbs- replace with crushed up crackers
